CUMBERLAND

Cesar A. Castor Jr., 87, of Cumberland passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Hope Health in Providence.  He was the husband of Victorina (Mallari Tiongco) Castor and they had been married for the past 51 years.   He also leaves his daughter Mia Castor of Cumberland,  and his granddaughter, Isabella Castor-Schmidt.

Born in the Philippines, he was the son of the late Cesar A. Castor Sr. and the late Dolores (Arroyo) Castor.  He resided in Cumberland for the past twenty-one years, previously residing in Woonsocket.

Mr. Castor was employed as a Cytotechnologist in Boston, MA for over 20 years until his retirement.

Ceasar was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church.  He enjoyed gardening, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, daughter and granddaughter, he leaves he leaves his two sisters, Dahlia Reyes of New York and Pilar King of South Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by one brother and four sisters.

His funeral and burial will be private.   A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Hope Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
