Celeste Neves, 96, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Abilio N. Neves.

Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Joaquina Diegues. Celeste resided in Central Falls for the past 60 years, previously residing in Quirias Vinhais, Portugal in her younger years.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, but most of celebrating with her family on the holidays.

She was employed as a machine operator for Hasbro Companies, Inc., for 27 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her children; Maria B. Pires and her husband Abilio of Lincoln, John Neves and his wife Lori of West Warwick, Al Neves and his wife Jean of Exeter, and Juvelina Faustino and her husband Jose of Cranston, and her eight grandchildren, Kevin, and Steven Neves, Melissa Bruneau, Sofia and David Pires, Jessica and Michael Neves, and Marc Faustino. Four great-grandchildren, Adrian and Julian Bruneau, and Blake and Lucas Stanton, along with several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Celeste's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
