Cassiano F. DePina, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in the Stillwater Nursing Community, Greenville. Cassiano was married to the love of his life, Adozinda DePina for the past 61 years.

Born in Matanca, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio and Anna DePina. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life and was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

He had a passion for carpentry, fishing, soccer (his team Benfica), and traveling to Portugal. However, the love of his life was spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, his beloved family includes two children: his son Antonio and his wife Alice DePina of Bellingham, MA; his son Fernando and his wife Fernanda DePina of Cumberland, RI. He was the brother of the late Maria DePina, Natividade Maria, Etelvina Fernandes, and Fernando DePina. He was the proud grandfather to Michael DePina his wife Sarah, and David DePina. A loving great-grandfather of Everleigh DePina. A loving godfather to Fatima Guertin and her husband Robert and their two daughters Elizabeth and Alexandra.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Cassiano's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4 PM to 6PM and continuing on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
