Carol A. Provencher passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025 at The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville.
Born on March 1, 1946, in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Louisa (Blanchette) Provencher.
Carol worked many years at the Flying Shuttle in Pawtucket and also attended the Leon Matthieu Senior Center, Pawtucket for several years.
She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and had an extensive collection of Elvis memorabilia including clothing, sheets, and blankets, pins, signs, and even a dancing Elvis clock. She enjoyed arts and crafts and making greeting cards for her family for birthdays and holidays. She never said "no" to a trip to the Dollar Store or Job Lot, and always enjoyed dining at many of the local restaurants. Her unique smile and sense of humor will be missed by many.
Carol is survived by four brothers and four sisters: Ronald Provencher (Linda), Elaine Gendron (Kaz), Richard Provencher (Cammy), Louisa DiTamasso, Susan Delauder (David), James Provencher, Michele Provencher (Tony) and Donald Provencher (Lisa). She also leaves 16 nieces and nephews and 21 great nieces and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Carol's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in the St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish, 1460 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Holiday Retirement Home, Activities Center, 30 Sayles Hill Road, Manville, RI 02838.
