Obituary

Carmine Nicolo Jr., 99, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at home. He was the husband of the late Marguerite T. Nicolo. They had been married for the past 74 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmine Nicolo Sr., and Antoinette (Quaglieri) Nicolo. Carmine resided in Cumberland for the past 70 years.

He was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland for the past 70 years.
Carmine was an avid golfer, gardner and also enjoyed bicycle riding.

He was a toolmaker, employed by Hasbro Inc., Central Falls for 37 years until his retirement.

He is survived by his three children: Nancy A. Nicolo of Merrimack, NH., Sandra A. Muench and her husband David of Centreville, VA., and Robert C. Nicolo and his wife Rickie of Gainesville, VA. His three grandchildren: Jason Nicolo, Kyle Nicolo, and Andrew Muench, one great-grandchild, Gabrielle Nicolo along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary DeFusco, Elva Nicolo, Amelia Derouin, Frances Santucci, Samuel Nicolo, Angelo Nicolo, Louis Nicolo, Eleanor Charpentier, and Grace Armellino.

Carmine's funeral will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland.
