Blanche B. Almeida, 95, of Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2023, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward S. Almeida.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Saul and Beatrice (Bergeron) Poisson. She had resided in Attleboro since 1966, previously living in Pawtucket.

Mrs. Almeida worked as a payroll clerk for the Balfour Corporation for many years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish in South Attleboro. She was a member of the St. John Vianney Seniors and the St. John Vianney Bowling League. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, but most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Richard S. Almeida, and his wife Denise of Pawtucket; her daughter, Linda M. Almeida of Attleboro; her grandchild and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, George Poisson of Pawtucket. She was the sister of the late Normand Poisson and Paul Poisson.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Blanche's Life Celebration, which will include visiting hours on Friday from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish, 18 Baltic Street, South Attleboro, MA. Burial will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
