Bhailalbhai M. Patel, 88, of Belmont, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Jamnaben Patel, with whom he built a life centered on family and tradition.

Born in Paliyad to the late Ichhaben and Mohandas Patel, Bhailalbhai lived a life marked by discipline, strength, and devotion to both family and community. He built and ran several businesses in India before moving to the United States, and for decades, he divided his time between his two homes, traveling back and forth to remain close to family, friends, and his community in both countries.

Bhailalbhai was known for his remarkable vitality. He swam, walked, ate well, and remained active until his final days. His diagnosis never diminished his resolve; he met each day with the same discipline and spirit that defined his life.

A lifelong believer in giving back, he was deeply committed to charitable work and to strengthening his community. He also treasured time with his wide circle of friends, whether in community gatherings in the United States or at his beloved laughing club in India.

Above all, Bhailalbhai was devoted to his family. He cared tenderly for his wife in her final years, and after her passing, remained a source of strength for his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind two sons, Bakul and Pankaj; five grandchildren; his younger brother; and many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his strong spirit, steadfast friendship, generosity, and his gift for forming lasting connections.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Hindu services on Thursday at 11 AM in the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland, RI.

ભાઈલાલભાઈ એમ. પટેલ, વષૅ ૮૮, બેલમોન્ટ, મેસાચુસેટ્સ, તેમનું અવસાન સોમવાર, ૧૫ સપ્ટેમ્બર, ૨૦૨૫ના રોજ તેમના ઘરે, પરિવારના પ્રેમથી ઘેરાયેલા, શાંતિપૂર્વક થયું હતું. તેઓ સ્વ. જમનાબેન પટેલના સમર્પિત પતિ હતા, જેમની સાથે તેમણે પરિવાર અને પરંપરાને કેન્દ્રમાં રાખીને જીવન રચ્યું હતું.

પલિયાડ ગામે સ્વ. ઇછાબેન અને મોહનદાસ પટેલના ઘરમાં જન્મેલા ભાઈલાલભાઈનુ  જીવન અનુશાસન, શક્તિ અને પરિવાર તથા સમાજ પ્રત્યેની સમર્પિત ભાવનાથી ભરેલું હતું. ભારતમા વ્યવસાયો સ્થાપ્યા પછી તેઓ અમેરિકા આવ્યા. દાયકાઓ સુધી તેઓએ પોતાનો સમય અમેરિકા અને ભારત વચ્ચે વહેંચ્યો, પરિવાર, મિત્રો અને સમાજ સાથે જોડાયેલા રહેવા માટે સતત પ્રવાસ કરતા રહ્યા.

ભાઈલાલભાઈ તેમની અદભૂત તંદુરસ્તી અને ચેતનાશક્તિ માટે જાણીતા હતા. તેઓ તરતા, ચાલતા, સ્વસ્થ ખોરાક લેતા અને તેમના અંતિમ દિવસો સુધી સક્રિય રહ્યા. બીમારી ક્યારેય તેમના સંકલ્પને ડગાવી શકી નહિ; તેઓએ દરરોજ એ જ અનુશાસન અને મનોબળ સાથે જીવન જીવી બતાવ્યું, જે તેમના સમગ્ર જીવનની ઓળખ હતી.

તેમણે એમનું જીવન પરોપકાર અને આધ્યાત્મિક રીતે જીવ્યા હતા.  તેમના વિશાળ મિત્રવર્તુળ સાથેનો સમય તેઓને અતિ પ્રિય હતો, ભલે તે અમેરિકા ખાતે સમુદાયના મેળાવડા હોય કે ભારતમાં તેમનો પ્રિય લાફિંગ ક્લબ.

સર્વોપરી, ભાઈલાલભાઈ પરિવારપ્રેમી હતા. પોતાના જીવનસાથીની અંતિમ દિવસોમાં તેઓએ અતિ પ્રેમ અને કાળજીપૂર્વક સેવા કરી. પત્નીના અવસાન પછી પણ તેઓ સંતાનો અને પૌત્રો માટે શક્તિ અને આધારના સ્ત્રોત રહ્યા. તેઓ પાછળ બે પુત્રો — બકુલ અને પંકજ; પાંચ પૌત્ર-પૌત્રીઓ; એક નાના ભાઈ; તેમજ અનેક ભત્રીજા-ભત્રીજીઓ છોડી ગયા છે. તેઓ તેમની અદમ્ય શક્તિ, અડગ મિત્રતા, ઉદારતા અને જીવનભર નવા સંબંધો રચવાની ક્ષમતા માટે હંમેશા યાદ રહેશે.

સગા તથા મિત્રોનો વિનંતીપૂર્વક આમંત્રણ છે કે તેઓ હિંદુ વિધિઓ માટે ગુરુવારના સવારે ૧૧ થી ૧ વાગ્યે,
