Benedita C. Loureiro, 86, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

Born in Esmolfe, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Loureiro and Maria (do Luz Craveiro) Loureiro. Maria came to this country in 1969, settling in Central Falls and later residing in Pawtucket for the last 49 years.

Benedita was a longtime communicant and faithful supporter of the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.

She loved singing, enjoyed crocheting and going on long walks, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

She had numerous jobs as a machine operator in manufacturing, most notably working at the Paper Tube Co., in Central Falls.

She is survived by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their respective spouses. She was the sister of the late: Fausto Loureiro, and Jose Loureiro.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Maria's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
