Obituary

CUMBERLAND

“

Funny and outgoing, Arthur enjoyed sharing laughter and spending time with the people he loved.

Arthur James Parkinson, 61, of Cumberland, passed away at home on Sunday, October 4, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Lamarre) Parkinson, with whom he celebrated 20 years of marriage on September 2.

Born on February 5, 1965, Arthur was the son of the late Arthur Parkinson and the late Joan Gilkenson.

He worked for Pepsi for 36 years, serving in Cranston and later in Taunton, Massachusetts.

Funny and outgoing, Arthur enjoyed sharing laughter and spending time with the people he loved. Whether singing karaoke or gathering with friends at the Riviera Pub and his favorite motorcycle spots, he appreciated good company and the simple pleasure of being together.

Arthur had a longtime passion for motorcycles, riding a Honda for many years before recently getting a Harley-Davidson. He also enjoyed traveling and making memories with Donna. Among their adventures were a bucket-list trip to Las Vegas and a Hawaiian cruise, where they explored volcanoes, enjoyed sightseeing tours, and took time to relax together. For Arthur, the time shared was as meaningful as the destination.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Jamie Lamarre and his wife Sarah of West Warwick; his sister, Sandra “Sandy” Cascione of Cranston; two nephews, Kevin and Joshua Cascione; and one niece, Sarah Cascione. He was the brother of the late Susan Parkinson.

He also leaves his beloved puppies, Calvin and Pandora.

Arthur will be lovingly remembered for his humor, his outgoing spirit, and the many moments of laughter and companionship he shared with family and friends.

Realtives and friends are kindly invited to Arthur's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 5 to 8 PM and continue on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10 AM in the J.
