CUMBERLAND

Arminda Branco Rosa, 93, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on 11, May 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Inacio Rosa.

Born on July 7, 1932, in Sobral de Lagoa, Portugal, Arminda was the cherished daughter of the late Antonio Domingos Branco and Maria Dos Ramos. She later immigrated to the United States in June of 1969, where she built a life centered around family, hard work, faith, and devotion to those she loved most.

Arminda dedicated many years of her life working in the textile industry at Conrad Jarvis. She later worked as a nanny, a role that reflected her kindness, patience, and nurturing spirit.

Above all else, Arminda was devoted to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and took pride in the life and legacy she helped create. Her home was a place of love, comfort, tradition, and togetherness.

She was the loving mother of the late Albano Rosa, Maria Branca Isidoro and her spouse Carlos Isidoro of Attleboro, Maria Leonor Nico of Mansfield, Orlando Rosa and his spouse Vicki Rosa of Cranston,  Celia Medeiros and her spouse Ted Medeiros of Pascoag, Susan Beausoleil and the late Robert Beausoleil of Pawtucket, and John Rosa and his partner Shirley Johnson of Cumberland. She was the dear sister of the late Joaquim Branco, the late Julia Branco, the late Maria Alfaia, and Jose Branco.

Arminda also leaves behind 13 cherished grandchildren, 20 beloved great-grandchildren, along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss her presence in their lives.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Arminda's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Satruday, May 16, 2026  from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arminda's memory to Our Lady of Fatima, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland, RI 02864.
