Antonio C. Guerra, 76, of Cumberland passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Isabel (Teixeira) Guerra and they had been married for the past 52 years.
Born in Folgosinho, Portugal, he was the son of Maria Emilia (Cunha) Guerra of Portugal and the late Helio Augusto Guerra. He moved to this country in 1974, settling in Cumberland.
Mr. Guerra was employed as a Machine Operator for the American Insulated Wire Co. for 34 years, and later Okonite Inc. for 12 years, retiring in 2020.
Antonio was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He was a member of Clube Juventude Lusitana, was a dedicated and passionate Sportinguista, and he enjoyed time at the club, drinking his espresso. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Michael Guerra and his wife Fatima of Cumberland and Andrea Garstka and her husband Brian of Seekonk; his siblings, Jose Guerra and his wife Manuela of Cumberland and Inocencia Moimenta and her husband Jose of Portugal; his three grandchildren, Emma, Noah and Gwen; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Antonio's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM and continue on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberand. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Cumberland.

António C. Guerra, de 76 anos, de Cumberland, faleceu na quarta-feira, 13 de maio de 2026, no Rhode Island Hospital, em Providence. Era o querido marido de Isabel (Teixeira) Guerra, com quem partilhou 52 anos de casamento.
Natural de Folgosinho, Portugal, era filho de Maria Emília (Cunha) Guerra, residente em Portugal, e do saudoso Hélio Augusto Guerra. Emigrou para os Estados Unidos em 1974, estabelecendo-se em Cumberland.
O Sr. Guerra trabalhou como operador de máquinas na American Insulated Wire Co. durante 34 anos e, posteriormente, na Okonite Inc. durante 12 anos, tendo-se reformado em 2020.
António era paroquiano da Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Fátima. Foi membro do Clube Juventude Lusitana, um dedicado e apaixonado Sportinguista, e gostava de passar tempo no clube a beber o seu café expresso. Acima de tudo, adorava passar tempo com a sua família, especialmente com os seus netos.
Além da sua amada esposa, deixa os seus filhos, Michael Guerra e a sua esposa Fátima, de Cumberland, e Andrea Garstka e o seu marido Brian, de Seekonk; os seus irmãos, José Guerra e a sua esposa Manuela, de Cumberland, e Inocência Moimenta e o seu marido José, de Portugal; os seus três netos, Emma, Noah e Gwen; bem como vários sobrinhos, sobrinhas, primos e muitos amigos próximos.
Familiares e amigos são gentilmente convidados para a Homenagem de Vida de António, com período de velório no domingo, 17 de maio de 2026, das 16h00 às 19h00, continuando na segunda-feira, 18 de maio de 2026, às 9h00, na J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Missa de Corpo Presente será celebrada às 10h00 na Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. O sepultamento seguirá no Cemitério St. John, em Cumberland.
