Antoni "Tony" Serafin of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, surrounded by his wife of 56 years, Anna, and his family.

Born in Poland to Franciszka and Wojciech Serafin of Wólka Tanewska, Antoni emigrated to Brooklyn, New York, in 1975. He first worked as a lathe operator. The family later moved to Central Falls, Rhode Island and in 1982, settled in Providence, where they purchased their home. He came as a pioneer to the USA with $20 dollars in his pocket and built a wonderful life for our family and relatives. Antoni worked for more than 26 years as a maintenance mechanic at General Cable (Carol Cable) in Lincoln, Rhode Island, until his retirement.

He was a proud father of four: Mariusz "Mario" Serafin, Alina (Serafin) Isom, Mirosław "Mirek" Serafin, and Grzegorz "Gregory" Serafin. He was also a devoted grandfather of four, Caitlin (Isom) Watson, Brandon Isom, Georgia Serafin and Alex Serafin.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; his children and grandchildren; and his sisters Joanna Gureczny and Anna Krajanowski.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Franciszka and Wojciech Serafin, and sister Stanisława Sulich.

He loved his Polish heritage and strongly believed being married and having children were the reasons for life. He believed in growing his family.  He enjoyed his Polish music, Polish soccer, the occasional dance with his wife and his trips to the local casino to play his buffalo machines. Most importantly of all, he wanted to let you all know that "He Loved Everybody. LOVE YOU TATO!

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Antoni's Life Celebration which will begin on Thursday September 10, 2026, with visitation from 4 to 7 PM in the JJ Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland RT 122, and continues Friday September 11, 2026, at 8:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 391 High Street, Central Falls, Burial will be private.
