CUMBERLAND
Anne M. "Nancy" (Hicks) Jones, 88, passed away  peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Scandinavian Home, Cranston. She was the wife of the late Arthur T. Jones. They were married for 62 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Isabelle (Barrett) Hicks. Nancy resided in Cranston for the past 2 years years, previously residing in Cumberland for many years, and North Kingstown.

She was a communicant of St. Aidan Parish, Cumberland and formerly St. Francis De Sales, North Kingstown.

Nancy enjoyed ceramics, going to the beach, being involved with her community, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three loving daughters: Kerri Austin (Joe), Kristine Jones (Jerry), and Kimberly McPhee (Nigel). Her six grandchildren: Jennifer Ricard, Jonathan Richmond (Nikki), Philip Austin (Kendell), Daniel Peirce, Michael McPhee and Sarah McPhee, five great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Gregory Jones, and Timothy Jones and also the sister of the late Maureen Hassett, Eleanor Maio, Joseph B. Hicks,  and Isabelle Votolato.

Anne's Life Celebration will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 with Visiting Hours from 9 AM to 10 AM  in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 10 AM.  Burial will be private.
