Anne M. Cox, 79, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Tufts Medical Center, Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Tomas C. Cox.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Harriet "May" (Rounds) Quinn. Anne resided in Cumberland for over 50 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.

She was employed by the Town of Cumberland as a tax collector for over 20 years, until her retirement. She and her husband were also formerly the owners of Star Wine Liquors, Pawtucket for many years.

Anne cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She enjoyed Saturday afternoons gathered around her kitchen table with her dearest friend Karen Bernardo sharing conversation and a cocktail. Most of all, she looked forward to spending time in her backyard by the pool with her husband and family, enjoying the simple pleasure of being together.

She is survived by her two children: Gregory T. Cox and his companion Molly Burke of Narragansett, and Shannon Cox and her companion Anthony Santilli of Cumberland. Her four granchildren: Jake, Julia, Cali and Cayden and her sister Patricia Richards of Connecticut. She also leaves her daughter in law Alisha Cipriano-Cox of Narragansett.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Anne's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 4 PM to 7 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 PM. Burial will be private.
