Anna Costa, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in the Philip Hulitar, Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Manuel Costa.

Born in Cabra Gouveia, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria Tereza (Lazaro) Ereio. She came to this country in 1946, settling in Pawtucket.

She loved volunteering and giving to charities. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed cooking.

Anna was employed as a licensed day care assistant working for her daughter at the former Little Miracles Day Care, Leicester, MA., and also previously worked as a receptionist with Community Counseling Center, Pawtucket for 12 years. She was also a licensed real estate agent working for various agencies in the area.

She is survived by her children: Susan T. Dufresne of Barre, MA; Steven A. Costa and his Christine of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Sheryl A. Noelte and her husband Christopher of Riverside. Her twin brother Tiago Ereio of Warwick. Four grandchildren: Simone Dufresne, Timothy Dufresne, Kiley Costa, and Ryan Costa, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Enos Ereio, and Albert Ereio.

Anna's Life Celebration will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home 757 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project , the MSPCA , or Boys Town.
