Aniceto M. Ribeiro, 89, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at home in Cumberland, surrounded by family. He was the husband of Esmeria (Texeira) Ribeiro. They have been married for the past 66 years.

Born in Vila Franco Da Beira, Portugal. He was the son of the late Manuel Maia Ribeiro and the late Maria Dos Prazeres Diniz. He came to America in 1953 residing in Rhode Island for 43 years before moving to Snowflake, Arizona where he lived happily for the past 28 years.

Aniceto was a passionate ATV rider and a proud member of the White Mountain ATV Association in Arizona. There he worked with the forest service to develop and maintain many trails for off road use. A devoted Benfica fan, he found great joy in cheering for his favorite team. Aniceto also had a deep love for Portuguese music and was talented at playing both the guitar and keyboards. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and music that will forever be treasured.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Michael E. Ribeiro of Texas, and Suzana Gomes of Cumberland. His four grandchildren: Zaka Ribeiro of Texas, Nicholas M. Gomes of West Warwick, Carley Passanante of Seattle, WA., and Jake Gomes of Cumberland. His sister, Ester Salustio of New Jersey, along with many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be private.
