CUMBERLAND

Americo Rodrigues, 78, of Cumberland passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Americo Rodrigues and Maria (Gouveia) Rodrigues.  He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.

Mr. Rodrigues was a self-employed entrepreneur and owner of Jim's Dogs and could be found working near the Providence Post Office.

Americo enjoyed cars, riding motorcycle, and also enjoyed dancing.

He leaves his sister, Natalie Pinault of Cumberland; his nieces and nephews,  Lisa Rochleau, George Pinault, James Pinault and Gary Pinault, Dawn Rodrigues, Sherry Resendes, Manny Rresendes, Richie Rodrigues, Brian Rodrigues David Rodrigues, and Jamie Rodrigues.  He was the father of the late Renee Rodrigues and brother of the late David Rodrigues, Dorothy Rodrigues, Christine Resendes, and Sara Garsland.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Americo's Life Celebration to be held with a Visitation on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 5 to 6 PM.   A prayer service will be held at 6 PM.   Burial will be private.
