Amelia Nascimento, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the wife of 62 years to the late Eduardo Nascimento.

Born in Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Belmira (Martins) Matos.

Amelia had a love for her family and cherished every moment she had with them.

She is survived by two sons, Manuel Nascimento and his wife Margret Nascimento of East Providence and John Nascimento and his wife Kelley Nascimento of Arlington, MA: her seven grandchildren, Clayton Nascimento and his wife Lori, Tabitha D'Antuono and her husband Derick, Jason Nascimento and his wife Jessie, Johnathan Nascimento and his wife Gina, Justin Nascimento and his wife Courtney, Jenna Davis, and John Nascimento Jr.

She is also survived and loved much by her eleven great-grandchildren. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends that he loved. She was the sister of the late Gil Matos

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Amelia's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

She was loved by all and will be missed but never forgotten!!
