Alvin Kariuki Ngabia, 29, of Woonsocket, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.  He was the husband of Kate Andrea Caoili Quero of Massachusetts.

Born in Nairobi, Kenya, he was the son of Stephen Kariuki and Alice Muthoni Nyambura, of Woonsocket. He moved to this country in 2015, settling in Pawtucket, and later moving to Woonsocket.

He entered the United States Army National Guard in 2024, just completing boot camp before his illness. He was honorable discharged after his service.

He was the owner of Taifa Reloaded Inc.

Alvin enjoyed camping, trips to the beach, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his father, mother and wife, he leaves his brother, Jerome Mwaura; his sisters, Imara Kariuki and Keilani Kariuki; his paternal grandparents, Eunice Kariuki and Stanley Kariuki; his aunt, Esther Mann; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was the grandson of the late Lucy Nyambura Mwaura.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Alvin's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.  A prayer service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10 AM. Burial will follow with military honors at Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland.
