Alfred J. Knych, 86, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023. He was the husband of the late Violet C. (Costa) Knych.

He was born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Bialek) Knych. He resided in Cumberland for the past 65 years, previously residing in Central Falls.
He served his country honorably as a United States Army veteran during the Korean War.

He enjoyed vacationing in Florida with his family.

Alfred was a dedicated and hardworking professional truck driver with Local 25 Boston.

Alfred was a loving father to his daughter Lori Flanagan and her husband John of Cumberland. His four grandchildren: Michelle Massey of Coventry; Mark Letellier of North Attleboro; Ashley Flanagan, and Jared Flanagan all of Cumberland. Seven great-grandchildren and three nieces. He also leaves his son-in-law Thomas Letellier of Attleboro. He was the father of the late Diane Letelier and brother of the late Helen Paniches.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Al's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
