Alfred "Fred" A. Gagnon, 68, formerly of Woonsocket, RI, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2025.   Fred will be remembered for his adventurous personality, kind soul and free spirit.   He lived life by his own personal convictions and was guided by his spirit and faith.

Fred enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and living life to the fullest.  He liked taking spontaneous road trips to visit friends and family while enjoying the beauty of nature all around him.

Fred is survived by his son, Alfred J. Church of Smithfield, RI; his brother Ronald V. Gagnon and his wife Chrissy of St. Albans, VT; his brother John J. Gagnon of Wakefield, RI; his sister, Cheryl Hadad and her husband David of Barrington, RI and many nieces and nephews.  He was the loving son of the late Alfred and Dolores Gagnon, lifelong residents of Cumberland and his late brother Stephen P. Gagnon.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Fred's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.   A prayer service will be held at 11 AM.  Burial will be private.
