Obituary

Albert J. Pugliese, 80, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in RI Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Deborah L. (Beliveau) Pugliese.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Helen (Walinski) Pugliese. Al resided in Warwick for the past 2 years, previously residing in Lincoln.

He was an avid coin collector with a deep passion for sports, enjoyed feeding squirrels and birds, cheering on the New York Giants, the New York Yankees, and fondly remembering the days of the Brooklyn Dodgers. He treasured spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he was immensely proud of. Some of his favorite moments were shared on breakfast outings with his brother, creating memories that lasted a lifetime. Known for his kind heart and remarkable generosity, he left an impression on everyone he met, often through his thoughtful and generous tipping. Al was known everywhere he went.

He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Al was a Senior Revenue Agent for the State of RI, Division of Taxation for more than 30 years, until his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter Kristen L. and her husband Billie J. Trowbridge II of Coventry, his precious grandchildren, Ashley and Billie Trowbridge. His brother Lawrence V. Walinski and his wife Patricia of Rumford. His niece Bethany Beliveau and Ashley Beliveau of Warwick along with many cousins that loved him immensely.
